Choose the Trial

Choose the trial.

It is so hard to do this.

It is so hard to choose to be where God has planted you when nothing seems to be going right.

I’ve slowly learned the wisdom and maturity in being able to see the trial ahead, but not the end, and still choose it. Choosing the trial when there is no end in sight when all you see is the pain, struggles, and hardships. When you do so, the Lord becomes so close when the end of the trial is so far.

I feel the Lord asks me daily, “Would you choose the trial if you knew it would bring you closer to Me?”

& I’ve learned that I would walk through the fire if that brings me closer to my Savior. As you choose to walk through that fire in the hopes you will get closer to the Lord, you will quickly realize that you are not alone. The Lord has joined you to walk alongside you through the fire. It is almost as if whenever you choose the fire, the Lord chooses you.

In choosing the trial, we have no idea how to maneuver through it on our own.

& that is the point.

That is where intimacy with the Lord comes in. We are put in a place where we fully have to depend on Him, we truly have to trust His will, & we truly have to know that He is a GOOD Father.

& look at that.

The most intimate place with the Father can be found in the fire. So once again, would you choose the trial? Would you choose the trial if it would bring you closer to Christ?

This is a question we rarely get to answer until we gain perspective and clarity only the Lord can give. I pray that no matter what you are going through, you seek and find the goodness and kindness of the Lord.
