The whole idea behind the words “Flourish in Faith,” is that as a Christian it can become so easy to make the magnificent work of Jesus on the cross mundane. We don’t mean to, but we sometimes significantly underappreciate the life and freedom we have been given through Christ Jesus.
The word flourish means to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way as a result of a particularly favorable environment or event. And I know what you thinking, how does this relate to my relationship with the Lord? Well to start, we have been given a favorable gift. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for sinners like you and me, what could be more favorable than that? That extremely favorable gift from Jesus allows us then to grow in a vigorous way! And that right there is the definition of what it means to flourish! Having a favorable gift that drives you to vigorously grow! Everyone has the opportunity to flourish in their relationship with the Lord because EVERYONE has been given the opportunity to accept the favorable gift!
Throughout the Old and New Testaments, we find concepts such as peace, blessing, wellness, maturity, and love that reveal God’s purpose for His people to experience the very best form of life!
I am so passionate about not only living for Christ but flourishing in life with Christ! Like 2 Peter 1:3 says, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the full knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.” Beautiful friends, IF YOU HAVE JESUS, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO FLOURISH IN FAITH!
When Christ is our portion when Christ is sufficient when Christ is our everything
Living in faith is AMAZING, but let’s FLOURISH in faith too!
