Reading through Romans.

& my passion for the gospel starts burning anew. 

I think there is nothing more beautiful than when a soul on fire for Jesus gets reminded of the passionate love He has for the lost. Then in the name of being molded into the image of Christ, the passionate love Jesus has for the lost turns into the passionate love I have for the lost.

Romans 5:8 says that while we were still sinners Christ died for you + me. Romans 5:7 prefaces Romans 5:8 by showing just how crazy it is that a man would die for his enemy. “for rarely will someone die for a just person — though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.”

So I’m sitting here in complete awe, wondering how much love it would take to die for your enemy… but then as if love couldn’t abound even further, it does. Romans 5:8 goes on to say but HOW MUCH MORE then, since we have now been justified by His blood.

WOW. Jesus loves you more than our minds can even begin to comprehend.

The magnitude of this love, the height of this love, the depths of this love, the enormity of this love, the vastness of this love, the strength of this love, and the everlasting and eternal power of this love. 

If your heart yearns for deeper love. Look no further than the cross.
