Incorporating Boldness into Your Life.

Boldness.

Boldness has been this year’s word, meaning that I have specifically deemed boldness as a certain area in my life that I want to grow in + keep at the forefront of my mind.

As Christians, we are called to be bold.

-Jesus died to cleanse us of our sins, so we can boldly approach our God who is holy and without sin (Hebrews 4:16).

-God fills us with the Holy Spirit, who is bold and courageous (1 Timothy 1:7-8). We do not have to muster courage and strength on our own. We simply submit to the Spirit of God that is within us.

-The Spirit of God emboldens us to proclaim the gospel without fear (1 Thessalonians 2:2).

-Boldness is contagious. When we are bold for Christ, enduring hardships for our faith, others are provoked to do the same (Philippians 1:14).

& this year I have struggled with this word.

Applying boldness in situations and feeling the work of the Spirit within me, but also being in situations unable to be bold for Christ and feeling discouragement.

Reading through the book of exodus and seeing Moses go from timid & scared to boldly approaching the throne of God has inspired me.

I have learned that the Godly boldness that Moses had taken time. It took humbling, breaking down of pride, longsuffering, & selflessness. It took 40 years as a prince, 40 years as a lowly shepherd, and then 40 years of leading a nation of freed slaves.

Be bold.

Pray that the Holy Spirit works in you, but be gracious with yourself because the building of Godly boldness is a process!
